…. commends Ebonyi Governor, Nwifuru
The coordinator of Ezza North-East Development Centre in Ebonyi State, Hon. Titus Eze, yesterday, joined in marking children’s day celebration in the state.
During the celebration, Hon. Titus Eze while felicitating with all the children of Ezza North East Developmental Centre said Children’s Day is an annual event that has been existing for years but this year’s celebration in Ezza-North Development Centre (DC) is propitious, great and unique because it is the first Children’s Day they are commemorating he l assumed office as Coordinator.
Hon. Eze further described Children as special gifts and blessings from God and they deserve the best from them, the government, parents, guardians, teachers, caregivers and the society.
According to him, “Essentially, today is a great day in the lives of our children. It is a day dedicated to celebrating our children and be proud of their talents, curiosity, creativity, brilliance, resourcefulness and innocence. A day to raise more awareness about the children’s rights, health, education and well-being. A day to robustly love and treasure our children the more and inculcate in them our norms and values to shape their tomorrow and be contributing members of our society. A day to hug them with social activities, excursions and funfair.”

Hon. Eze also used the opportunity to highlight some of his achievements in just five months of being in office as Ezza-North East development cordinator.
They include
1.Renovation of the administrative building of Ezza North East DC which we met in a very deplorable condition.”
2. Embarking on the construction of Awha bridge which will be completed in a jiffy.
3. Cordial relationship with the staff of the DC.
4. Prompt payment of workers impress.
5. Cordial relationship with stakeholders and the entire good people of Ezza North East DC irrespective of party affiliation.
6. Funding of our local vigilante for adequate security of lives and property of our people.
He further said : “As government, one of our priorities is to provide health care and quality education for our children. Pursuant to section 17(3)(f) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it is important that our children are protected against all forms of exploitation, and against moral and material neglect. May I assure you of avowed commitment of my government to maintaining these principles or provisions for the good of our beloved children.”
“In order to encourage reading culture amongst our children, my government shall sponsor quiz and debate competitions for primary and secondary school in our DC. We shall also make provisions for writing materials for the pupils and students in support of their academic pursuit.”
“To you children, you are our future, the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow, and we believe in you. As you grow and learn, remember that your voices matter, your dreams are essential and your laughter contagious. Honour God your Creator, obey your parents, guardians and teachers. Shun social vices and acts capable of ruining your future. Be kind to one another and keep exploring and discovering the world around you, for the way you live your life today will influence where you will be tomorrow.”
“To you parents, guardians, teachers and caregivers, thank you for nurturing and supporting our children. Your love and guidance towards them are impactful. Do open door for dialogue with children. Help them identify their strengths and weaknesses and work towards making them great tomorrow. Instill in them our values and norms as well as domestic activities which will be helpful to their adulthood tomorrow.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, may I seize this ample opportunity to let you know that I’m less than five months in office as Coordinator of Ezza North East Development Centre. Within these months, through your support, we have been able to record these achievements:”
