Kwara’s inaugural 2024 hajj flight shifted to May 21

The inaugural flight from General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin for the 2024 Muslim pilgrimage has been shifted to Tuesday, May 21.

Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board said in a statement by the executive secretary, Abdulkadir Abdulsala, in Ilorin on Sunday that the change in the date is from NAHCON and airlines owing to some delays in the initial plans.

Pilgrims from Kwara had initially been scheduled to have their first flight on Monday, May 20, 2024.

“What this change means is that our pilgrims should not come to the camp today (Sunday) again, as earlier announced. They should come tomorrow, Monday, May 20, ahead of their inaugural flight on Tuesday at 10:20 am.

“This affects only the intending pilgrims whose names were earlier scheduled for the inaugural flight. Further information will be released to guide all our pilgrims and the general public. While this slight change is regretted, it is totally out of the control of the state pilgrims board or any local authorities,” the statement said
