Ebonyi State University Senate has said that the President of Student Union Government, Comrade Tobias Oshim has ulterior motives to hijack the three million naira students’ fund and he is now looking for a way to cover up his intentions.
The Senate made this known in a statement made available to IGBERE TV through EBSU SUG Senate Clerk, Sen. Nyaba Kingsley Toochukwu .

He accused the EBSU SUG President, Tobias Oshim Of fabricating a list of 33 persons who are non-existent Ebsu students which was attached in his application to get the cheque.
The statement reads in full ;
OFFICIAL STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO THE POST MADE BY THE EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT, OSHIM TOBIAS NKWEGU THROUGH HIS CHIEF PRESS SECRETARY
“The Senate’s allegations are not unwarranted or uncalled for, as Comr. Nkwegu claims. The Senate is charged with ensuring the Union Government is transparent and accountable to the students it serves. The allegations arose due to the SUG President’s delay in disbursing funds allocated for the payment of indigenous students’ school fees and his reluctance to provide clarity on the process.”
It is very imperative to note that the Senate house never asked the SUG president for cash disbursement. Rather, they requested that the money be given to the rightful persons who are suppose to benefit from it.

The last time the Senate president, Usulor Marvelous Izuchukwu asked him when the school fees will be disbursed to the poor indigent students, it was on a very lugubrious note that the SUG president told him he was going to use the money to repair Coaster bus of which the Senate president reiterated that the school management already promised to take care of it.
The Senate president further told him to ensure proper and transparent disbursement of the funds but unfortunately, the SUG president vehemently told the Senate president that nobody should disturb him. The Chief Judge and Sen. Onyibe are both witnesses to this.

It is indubitably crystal clear that the SUG president has ulterior motives to hijack the money and he is now looking for a way to cover up his intentions. If not, how will money be released on the 14 April 2024 and
-No committee was formed, because no one in the SUG body is aware of it.
-Even as exams was very close and the school has issues a “no school fees no exams ” yet there was no disbursement of funds in any of the 11 faculty.
In encapsulation, no one should listen to his unbalanced fabrications as they are all lies.
