Eid-el-Fitr: Police warn trouble makers to steer clear of Yobe

Yobe State Police Command has warned troublemakers to steer clear of the state or face full wrath of the law.

CP Ahmed Garba gave the warning while briefing newsmen shortly after a strategic security council chaired by the State Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana.

“I am using this opportunity to warn trouble makers, especially youth — cultists that are engaged in drug activities and other heinous crimes within and outside the state capital.

“The security agencies would not fold their arms and watch them taking laws into their hands causing mayhem to themselves as well as others”, he warned.

He also said whoever decides to make trouble the security agencies are ready for them as they would be dealt with decisively.

“As such everybody should warn his wards and children not to go to places they are not expected to, especially black spots where drug peddlers and drug pushers are patronizing”, he warned.

According to the Police Commissioner security operatives have been alerted and adequately prepared to deal with any situation that may arise.

Similarly, Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Yobe State Sector Command and Yobe State Road Traffic Agency, (YOROTA) have also assured that they will embark on special patrol to ensure motorists and other road users adhere to safety standards to have a hitch-free celebration
