Group Blasts NDDC Director Of Projects, Victor Antai Over Lies Against A'Ibom State Govt.

A group, under the aegis of Akwa Ibom Good Conscience Forum has lambasted the Executive Director Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr Victor Antai over a deliberate effort at misinforming members of the public about the activities of Akwa Ibom State.

In a statement made available to Igbere TV by Comrade Inemesit Akpan ( President) and Nkoyo Eyoh (Secretary) of the group stated that they are disappointed that the supposed federal appointee knows little or nothing about the proper conduct of public office holders, especially for such office as the Executive Director, Projects of the NDDC, a parastatal of the federal government.

The group further said that Mr Antai used the most inappropriate register for the Akwa Ibom State Government, and for those who are acquainted with the spectacular accomplishments of the Umo Eno administration, Antai has only succeeded in making the word attractive.

The statement added that the Executive Director of NDDC, Mr Antai needs to know that the State Government is prudently investing the resources in agriculture with the Ibom Model farms leading the pack, the back to farm initiatives and even the farmers with ‘swag’ programme for students.

The statement reads in parts,

“A wholesaler of lies and disinformation will always see other people’s good intentions as retailers in his faceless trade no matter how truthful and convincing such may appear. That is the medical diagnosis of the anti-christ antics of Mr. Victor Antai who is the Executive Director Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC. It is indeed the antics of famished gods.”

“A video of Mr. Antai addressing a group of people reveals a deliberate effort at misinforming members of the public about the activities of Akwa Ibom State, and we of Akwa Ibom Good Conscience Forum feel obliged to correct the man who thrives in merchandising falsehood.”

“With the conduct of Mr. Antai in the said video, we are disappointed that the supposed federal appointee knows little or nothing about the proper conduct of public office holders, especially for such office as the Executive Director, Projects of the NDDC, a parastatal of the federal government.”

“The video makes it difficult if not impossible to differentiate Antai from ballyhoo. His ‘dengering’ and ‘kurukere’ steps of the Executive Director depict an overdose of alcohol. He clearly lacks leadership attributes, and presented himself as a public nuisance in that spirited effort to misrepresent Governor Umo Eno.”

” That is why we are tempted to ask Antai his own definition of impoverishment. Or was it just an attempt to look high-sounding in order to earn undeserving applause?. ”

“Mr. Antai used the most inappropriate register for the Akwa Ibom State Government, and for those who are acquainted with the spectacular accomplishments of the Umo Eno administration, Antai has only succeeded in making the word attractive.”

“Or how else will one describe an administration that has made visible impact across all sectors of the economy, flying on the wings of the A.R.I.S.E Agenda? We have watched with excitement the nearly 80 new and ongoing road construction projects in different parts of Akwa Ibom State. If that is how to impoverish a people, then it is a loveable impoverishment.”

” Or do we say that Governor Umo Eno is impoverishing the retirees by releasing over 15 billion Naira so far the payment of their gratuities to retired workers including Antai kit and kins? Haba, Victor Antai goofed greatly.”

” Akwa Ibom State is a bad example of a State that gets money without something to show for it. Has Mr. Antai not seen the state of the arts facilities and the ongoing development at the Victor Attah International Airport? Has he not heard of the model primary schools that are being replicated in all parts of the State?”

“Antai need to be told of the ecological remediation and gully reclamation projects in parts of the State. How about the interventions in rural health care, as well as the youth empowerment programmes through such initiatives as the Ibom Led?”

“The Executive Director needs to know that the State Government is prudently investing the resources in agriculture with the Ibom Model farms leading the pack, the back to farm initiatives and even the farmers with ‘swag’ programme for students.#

“In the meantime, there are interventions in food and shelter for the people, especially the vulnerable members of the society. Surprisingly, Mr. Antai is against the feeding of the poor; the position of a man who is poor in knowledge.#

“In all ramifications, Mr. Antai’s remarks in video are highly condemned. His wrong information to the people is capable of misleading the poublic hence we urge him to learn to speak as a leader not the verbal diarrhea he exhibited.”

“But if the only way the governor can end impoverishment by Antai’s standard is for the resources of the State to be used in appeasing political gladiators, he had better perished such outdated thoughts. He had better come to terms with the reality that such political antics and gimmick have no place in the Akwa Ibom State of today. Let Antai desist from making further anti-development and divisive comments. He should stop looking at Akwa Ibom State through the binoculars of his political party.”

” We are solidly behind His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno for his passionate and innovative leadership. We are confident and convinced that Pastor Eno has all it takes to take Akwa Ibom State to where we all desire the State to be. Even Victor Antai cannot stand in the way of our progress as a people.”
