The Algeria Football Federation has offered Jose Peseiro a staggering $90,000 monthly salary to coach the Desert Foxes, Igbere TV has learnt.
Peseiro, alongside Carlos Querioz and Vladimir Petkovic are in the running to succeed Djamel Belmadi as head coach of the Algerian national team.
According to Algerian news outlet, DZ football, the Algeria Federation are keen to have Peseiro as the country’s new head coach.
The Portuguese is said to be weighing his options after his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expired at the end of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles finished in second position at the competition.
The 63-year-old earned $50,000 monthly during his time in charge of the Super Eagles.
Tunisia are also said to be interested in the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach.
