The MD/CEO of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, has unveiled plans to ensure accountability and curb corruption in government operations.
Recall that the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, had, after his swearing in in 2022, launched the ‘everything technology and technology everywhere’ program.
Soludo, through the state ICT agency headed by Agbata recently pioneered the introduction of e-identity cards for all civil servants in the state to curb impersonation, introduced the automation of the budget process through ICT, while also introducing technology in the payment of taxes.
Agbata, in the press release, called on ministries, agencies and departments to brace up in the use of technology to solve challenges of governance.
