Hon. Kalajaye Adeboye Paul Hosts Maiden Merciful God Concert

The city of Ajegunle Apapa in the mainland area of Lagos, came alive on Christmas eve with the first edition of the Merciful God Concert, hosted by Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul.

The Honorable member of the House of Representatives, Ajeromi Ifelodun Constituency, Honorable Kalejaiye Adeboye Paul hosted
a month long of talent hunting preliminary activities held across twelve centres leading to the finals amidst pomps and pageantry for the chorals group of churches within the constituency that featured over 86 choirs.

The host, Kalejaiye in his welcome address informed that it was his convenent with God during the context for his party ticket that he will be hosting God glorifing gathering if he wins the primary and eventually succeeds to represents the good peoples of Ajeromi Ifelodun at the red chamber.

He was however quick to assured the Muslims cleric who were in attendance to witness the Christmas Concert that the Islamic Constituents will have their share at appropriate time to foster the amorous relationship within the faiths in Ajegunle.

The roll call of attendance includes Hon Victor Oghene; member representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives, Hon Sa’ad Olumo and Hon Sabuur Oluwa; members, Lagos State House of Assembly, Ajeromi Ifelodun I and II respectively, Hon Fatai Ayoola; Chairman Ajeromi Ifelodun his counterpart Hon Olufemi Okeowo of Ifelodun LCDA, HRH, Oba Morufdeen Amodu-Tijani, Olu Iwa of Iwa and Apapa Kingdom, Hon Kamal Bayewu; Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, Hon Taiwo Adenekan; former member, House of Representatives, the trio former Council Chairmen of Dr. Abiola Ajijola, Hon Wahab Adigun and Hon Fatai Ajidagba.

Others included, Babajide Kolade-Otitolpju as Special Guest, political leaders of the both Councils making up the Federal Constituency led by the All Progressives Congress Chairmen for Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA and Ifelodun LCDA, members of the Community Development Committee/Based Associations, Market Leaders. As well as the Christian Association of Nigeria that played a pivotal role and prominent among them on the night was Matthew Omodiagbe presiding Bishop, Liberation Words Ministry who delivered the sermon.

The curtain of the concert was drawn after the winner had emerged from the electrifying performances from the six finalists and cash prizes in the sum of N3m awarded by the dignitaries. The champion, Celestial Church of Christ, Alpha and Omega Parish went home with N1m, first and second runners up, RCCG, Habilitation Refuge and Holy Mount of Delight and Fulfillment Church won N.75m and N.5m respectfully. Consolations of N.6m was shared among the other three finalists namely, Christ Apostolic Church MBA Oke Ayo, First Baptist Church, Amukoko and Christ the King Catholic Church, Ojo Road Parish.
