Supreme Court judgement: Accept Mbah’s Olive branch – NYCN to Edeoga

The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Enugu State chapter has urged the Labour Party, LP, candidate during the last governorship election in Enugu State, Barr Chijioke Edeoga to accept the hand of fellowship extended to him by Governor Peter Mbah.

The youth group made the appeal while reacting to the Supreme Court judgement which validated Mbah’s election as Enugu State governor.

Chairman of the NYCN in Enugu State, Mr Bartholomew Ebuka Okoh, in a statement made available to DAILY POST on Saturday, said now that all the legal fireworks have been exhausted, it is time for the entire people of the State to give Mbah all the needed support.

“I urge the LP candidate, Barr Chijoke Edeoga to accept the Olive branch extended to him and collaborate with Governor Peter Mbah for the progress of Enugu State.

“The call for unity is seen as a critical step towards a harmonious political environment and enhanced development for the state.

“I am optimistic that Edeoga’s cooperation, alongside Mbah’s capacity, would contribute significantly to the betterment of Enugu.

“The appeal for collaboration extends beyond political lines.

“We believe that working together will not only enhance the political landscape but also set a positive example for the youth, showing the importance of unity in achieving common goals.”

He congratulated Mbah on the victory, describing it as a symbol of hope for the entire youth population in Enugu State.

“Your success is a beacon of hope and a reminder that dedication and hard work can overcome any challenge.

“May the governor’s well deserved victory be the beginning of a new chapter filled with continued success, collaboration, and positive contributions to the advancement of Enugu,” Okoh stated
