Ibadan based politician, Rotimi Ajanaku’s father dies at 88

The father of an Ibadan-based politician, Rotimi Ajanaku, Pa Oluwasegun Samuel Ajanaku is dead.

IgbereTV reports that Ajanaku contested the House of Representatives elections in the Ibadan South West/ Ibadan North West federal constituency on the platforms of Zenith Labor Party (ZLP) in 2019 and Accord in 2023.

The octogenarian died at the age of 88 at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan on Wednesday.

The deceased’s son, Rotimi Ajanaku confirmed the death of his father to journalists on Friday in Ibadan.

He added that the Ajanaku family of the Okepopo area of Lagos Island would announce the burial of the deceased.

Pa Ajanaku was survived by children and grandchildren among others.

He said “He died after a brief illness and was survived by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and relatives.

“Burial arrangements will be decided and announced later by the family”.
