Member Representing Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Ogah has asked the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mrs Nkeiruka Onyejiocha, who is the immediate past Member in the constituency to account for the 2022/2023 Constituency projects under her supervision.
Hon. Ogah in a statement by his Media Adviser, Emeka Elem while reacting to an allegation by a group against Mrs onyejeocha that the 2022/2023 constituency projects were not transparently executed called on the former legislator to show by evidence all such projects executed.
Hon Ogah further enjoined Agencies of government where these contracts are domiciled to release the names of the contractors meant to execute these projects whose funds had allegedly been released.
The National Assembly member Promised to investigate and assured them of his commitment in ensuring that all projects under the period under review will be executed or have the contractors prosecuted.
The projects include, rehabilitation of Uturuisuikwuato-Akara Road in Abia State worth N200,000,000, general Maintenance of Enugu S/B – Isuikwuato – Umuahia – River S/B Road Route NO. 70 OLS (A3) in Abia State worth N63,253,689 and Groundwork Monitoring Network Programme – Drilling of Solar Powered Boreholes at Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency worth N100,000,000.
Others are, Solar Boreholes Complete at Umunneochi local government worth N23,496,071, Completion of erosion control works at Nkwoaguisuochi in Umunneochi local government worth N20,000,000, construction of health centre at Umuaku Isuochi in Umunneochi local government worth N25,000,000 and procurement of empowerment materials for women in Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency worth N100,000,000.
He however called on communities where these projects are sighted to demand for it and ensure its completion as captured in budget.
