Shooting Stars condemn attack on Sunshine Stars bus

Shooting Stars management has expressed sadness over the attack on Sunshine Stars bus by suspected hoodlums.

The Oluyole Warriors described the incident as disheartening.

“We received the news of the attack on our brothers, the Sunshine Stars, by suspected hoodlums along the Ore- Benin road while traveling to honour Saturday’s NPFL matchday 13 fixture against Bendel Insurance in Benin with sadness and shock,” the club wrote on its X handle.

“Most disturbing are the injuries sustained by the Team Manager and a backroom staff of the club, who were shot by the attackers, as well as some players and other officials.

“Our heart is with our brothers as they go through this horrible experience and we wish the injured officials quick recovery.

“May God in his infinite mercy, continue to guard and protect us in all our journeys.”
