EPL: I’ll talk to his parents – Evra reveals Chelsea forward let Man Utd down

Former Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra has joked that Chelsea forward, Cole Palmer let the Red Devils down by playing for Manchester City.

Evra said he would need to talk to Palmer’s parents because the youngster is a boyhood Manchester United fan.

Palmer emerged from Manchester City’s academy before joining Chelsea in a £42.5million deal last summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has made a brilliant start to life at Chelsea and even scored a goal in his side’s Premier League 2-1 defeat against Man United in mid-week.

“I think it is not a great moment,” Evra joked while speaking on Amazon Prime.

“I think he [Palmer] let us down! I need to talk to his parents!

“He grew up a United fan, you end up playing for City and you score a goal against United? He must not be a real fan.”
