Okadas are seized by the taskforce in Lagos.

A Lagos Task Force team seized a number of commercial motorcycles, commonly known as okadas, in the Alakija area of the state on Friday, December 1.

Task Force members stormed the area and chased away the motorcyclists.

In protest, the motorcyclists set bonfires on the road. However, they were chased away by police who fired teargas canisters.

Last year, the state government banned motorcyclists in 10 of the 20 LGAs in the state, including Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somor, Musin, Apapa, Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, and Eti Osa.
