Super Eagles debut has boosted my confidence β€” Tella

Bayer Leverkusen winger, Nathan Tella says playing for the Super Eagles has boosted his confidence.

The 24-year-old, who was born in England to Nigerian parents, made his debut for the Super Eagles in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Warriors of Zimbabwe last week.

Tella started the game and was replaced at half-time by Victor Boniface.

The former Burnley player is firmly focused on club football once again.

Leverkusen will take on Swedish club, Hacken in a UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday night (today).

Ahead of the encounter billed for the Nya Ullevi, Goteborg, Tella stated that he is in a buoyant mood.

β€œThe last few weeks have given me a lot of confidence. As a player, you always want to play and to play in the big games,” he told reporters.

” My international debut also did me good. Now I’m really looking forward to the match.”
