Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has singled out goalkeeper Alisson for criticism following the Reds’ Premier League 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Saturday.
Carragher said that the Brazilian was ‘really poor on the ball’ during the encounter at Etihad.
Goals from Erling Haaland and Trent Alexander-Arnold ensured both Man City and Liverpool shared a point each.
However, Carragher was disappointed with Alisson’s performance against Pep Guardiola’s side.
“Alisson didn’t have his best game,” Carragher said on Sky Sports after the game.
“He was really poor on the ball. He could have cost Liverpool towards the end of the game a couple of times with his clearances.”
Speaking about Dias’ disallowed goal in the second half, Carragher added: ‘For me, Alisson and Liverpool are extremely lucky. Very lucky. If the referee doesn’t give that, VAR isn’t saying that is a foul – there is no way in the world.”
