Mizo urges Bayelsa United teammates to keep fighting after draw with Heartland

Bayelsa United forward, Robert Mizo believes his team should not celebrate the 2-2 draw against Heartland in Owerri

The Prosperity Boys came from two goals down to end the game 2-2 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Wednesday.

Nneoye Ofem and Robert Mizo netted for Bayelsa United after Promise Anyanwu and Chinedu Ike had put the hosts in front in the first half.

Mizo’s goal in the game makes him the joint top scorer with seven goals in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

He commended his teammates for a great performance in securing their first away point of the season.

“Great performance from the team for fighting back to get a draw,” Mizo stated on his X handle.

“We shouldn’t be celebrating this but It’s our first away point of the season and I was on the score sheet for my 7th goal of the season.”

Bayelsa United remain in the drop zone despite the point shared in the game.
