Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, on Tuesday, received in courtesy, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) with their management.
In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by the Special Assistant on New Media, Mr Leo Oketa says the Governor’s message was simple, clear and punchy.
According to the statement, “Ebonyi people have suffered a lot because lack of steady power, colluded vandalization of transformers, citizens maintaining properties of EEDC and over billing. A terrible situation where people are meant to pay for energies that they did not consume.”
“In his terms, the Governor told them, βWe have been patient enough and losing confidence in EEDC. The management must seat up and do the needful or as a State, we will be left with no option than seek alternatives for our people.”
