The Nigeria Football Federation has urged match commissioners to dress professionally at all league games.
Chairman of the NFF Match Commissioner Committee, Alhaji Babagana Kalli Kachalla, made this statement in the 2023 NFF Match Commissioners seminar for Southern province held in Abeokuta.
Kachalla pointed that the football governing body in the country has expressed concern over the growing practice of wearing jerseys while officiating games.
“I will also like to remind the match commissioners that when an assignment was given to them, Please, let’s endeavour to dress properly,” he said in his statement.
“That is to dress corporate being match commissioner as assigned for a match. You are the head of the administration of that match.
“You should have full control of that match because the match is under your own control but not under the control of any state secretary.
“Each match Commissioner should be conscious of what of their activities and to carry the assignment assigned accordingly. The match Commissioners should always look cooperate to avoid the diversity of the Committee.
“Be in your suit or in your blazer and during the technical coordination meeting the committee will not allow any match commissioners to use foreign club jersey or Nigerian club jersey.”
