Arteta identifies player he wants Arsenal to sign ahead of Toney

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reportedly wants the Gunners to sign Wolves winger Pedro Neto ahead of Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the January transfer window.

According to FootballTransfers (h/t CaughtOffside), Arteta wants Neto to lighten the workload on Bukayo Saka in his squad.

The report added that Arsenal have a limited transfer budget and value the Portugal international at Β£40 million.

Wolves, meanwhile, believe their player Neto is worth Β£70 million.

Neto has scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists in 119 games for Wolves since joining them from Serie A side Lazio in 2019.

The 23-year-old has scored one goal and provided five assists in eight matches for Wolves this season.

His contract with Wolves will expire in the summer of 2027
