Arsenal have sent their physiotherapist Simon Murphy to Ghana’s training camp in the United States to keep a check on midfielder Thomas Partey during the international break.
Recall that Arsenal had in March sent Murphy out to Ghana to manage an injury to Partey.
Partey has struggled with a groin injury this 2023-24 season.
The 30-year-old had missed four straight Premier League matches for the Gunners before he returned in their 1-0 win over Manchester City last Sunday.
Partey featured in the last 15 minutes of the match after coming off the bench.
The former Atletico Madrid star also missed Arsenal’s Champions League win over PSV and Carabao Cup win against Brentford.
Having only just returned from the groin issue, Arsenal have decided to send out Murphy to Ghana to avoid making his injury any worse while playing for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars will face Mexico and the United States in international friendlies on Sunday and Wednesday, respectively.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will take on Chelsea after the international break on October 21 and they want to ensure that Partey is fully fit for the Premier League tie at Stamford Bridge
