Four students from Nasarawa State University in Keffi have been abducted by unidentified gunmen.
The victims were kidnapped early on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from a home in the state’s Keffi Local Government Area at Angwan Kaare.
Rahila Hanya (SLT 100 Level), Josephine Gershon (Computer Science 100 Level), Rosemary Samuel (Business Administration 100 Level), and Goodness Samuel (Department of Geography 100 Level) are the four students who have been abducted.
The incident was confirmed by the Nasarawa State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Rahman Nansel, in a statement made available to newsmen in Lafia.
The statement reads, “At around 12:55 am, a distress call was received indicating that a house located at Angwan Kaare, Keffi, was invaded by unidentified armed men.
The command is aware of the kidnapping.”.
“The police responded as necessary and searched the area with the help of the military, but in vain.
In order to rescue the four victims unharmed, “the Commissioner of Police has ordered a manhunt for the culprits,” he continued.
