Danjuma Adamu Sankwar, the Sarkin Yakin Gabas of Wamba Community and the Sadauna of Lenge, has sent a strong message to Prince Ibrahim, the Adon Garin Lafia, over his recent utterances over the election tribunal’s verdict which sacked All Progressives Congress’s Abdullahi Sule as Governor of Nasarawa State.
Recall that a Justice Ezekiel Ajayi-led three-man panel ruled in favour of David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a split judgment.
However, Ibrahim, who was not pleased with the outcome, faulted the tribunal’s judgment, describing it as a miscarriage of justice and threatened to cause chaos in the state if the governor is not reinstated by the appellate court
Sankwar, while addressing the recent election dispute and subsequent ruling by the tribunal, insisted that the will of God ultimately determined the outcome.
The traditional leader reminded Ibrahim that both the holy book and the prophet caution against being troublemakers and that God curses those causing trouble.
He said in a viral video shared on his Facebook page, “This is a message for the Adon Garin Lafia. My name is Danjuma Adamu Sankwar, Sarkin Yakin Gabas, Wamba community, and also The Sadauna of Lenge.
“I want you to know that power belongs to God, and He gives it to whomever he chooses and in the way He likes. He does not give because you are Muslim or Christian.
“God has wished it that today, after our votes were stolen, God restored it back through the tribunal.
“Just like you said, you are not looking for trouble, but you are prepared for the trouble if it comes, so let me tell you, just like the prophet said in the holy book, cursed is he that started trouble/disturbance and God also curses a trouble maker.
“So, if the trouble comes from your end, we are not perturbed. We sought from God, You sought from kings.”
