Prince Ibrahim Hassan Abdullahi, the Adon Garin of Lafia Bare Bari, said Governor Abdullahi Sule, has surrounded himself with enemies of his administration.
Abdullahi made this revelation in a video recording on Tuesday, following the verdict of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT) in Lafia, which nullified Governor Sule’s election.
The tribunal, chaired by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared David Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner of the March 18 gubernatorial election in the state.
Ibrahim faulted the tribunal’s judgement, describing it as a miscarriage of justice.
Prince Ibrahim expressed confidence that the decision would be overturned in higher courts.
In response to the tribunal’s judgement on Monday, residents of Nasarawa State took to the streets in Lafia, Akwanga, Keffi, Karu, and other major towns of the state, defying heavy downpours, to celebrate the verdict of the tribunal.
On the other hand, Governor Sule has vowed to appeal the judgement of the tribunal at the appeal court, urging his supporters to remain calm and abide by the law.
