In the state’s Ringim Local Government Area, the Jigawa State Police Command has detained three suspects in an armed robbery.
One Beretta pistol and four rounds of ammunition were found on the suspects, according to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who made the announcement on Monday, October 2, 2023.
The PPRO claims that the suspects broke into the home of Sagiru Musa and stole his vehicle, worth N1.8m, which they later sold in the Niger Republic.
“On September 28, 2023, around 9:30 a.m., Sagiru Musa, age 30, of Kakikankare village in Ringim LGA of Jigawa State, reported to the Ringim Police Station that on that same day, at around 0:30 a.m., four unidentified armed men broke into his home and stole his motor vehicle, a green Golf 3 wagon with the registration number RNG 691 AA Jigawa State, valued at one million eight hundred .
“He also claimed that his National ID, voter card, and ATM card.
D-card, customs fees, and Vigilante I. D.
The aforementioned stolen car also has information about the card and the vehicle.
“As soon as the detective from the Ringim Division received the report, he immediately got to work.
A Beretta pistol and four rounds of ammunition were found in the possession of Yakubu Adamu, 30, Hamisu Adamu, 34, and Abubakar Sani, 28, who were all arrested on October 1st, 2023 in Yankaba Quarters, Nassarawa LGA, Kano State.
“Upon questioning, Yakubu and Abubakar both admitted to taking part in the offense that was allegedly committed against them.
They went on to say that the car had already been sold in the Niger Republic city of Maradi.
“Actions have already been taken to apprehend the remaining suspects and find the stolen car.
