Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut has been named the Head of the Nigeria National Office by the West African Examinations Council.
He replaces Patrick Ehidiamen Areghan, whose term ended on October 1.
Acting Head of Public Affairs Moyosola Adesina made a statement that included this information.
According to the statement, he began working for WAEC in 1998 as an Assistant Registrar II and advanced through the ranks until becoming Deputy Registrar in April 2018.
He worked as an Assistant Registrar/Subject Officer for the Test Development Division at WAEC in Lagos from July 1998 to January 2005, Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security and Deputy to the Branch Controller at Uyo Branch Office from January 2005 to January 2008, Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security and Deputy to the Branch Controller at Bauchi Branch Office from January 2008 to December 2011, Senior Assistant Registrar/Branch Controller, and Senior Assistant Registrar/Branch Controller.

Dangut was born on October 2, 1967, in the Mbar District of the Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, according to his profile.
In Plateau State, he attended the Government Secondary School in Riyom from 1981 to 1983 and the Government Science School in Kuru from 1983 to 1986, where he earned his WASC/SC in 1986.
He then traveled to the University of Agriculture in Makurdi, Benue State, where he earned a Bachelor of Agriculture in Animal Production in 1991.
