Breaking:NLC and TUC announce an ongoing strike beginning on October 3.

The Nigerian Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) have announced an indefinite strike beginning on October 3.

At a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday, September 26, the TUC’s Festus Osifo and the NLC’s Joe Ajaero urged Nigerians to stockpile food because the strike would halt the nation’s economic activity.

The indefinite strike, according to the communique read by the two Presidents, is a response to the government’s alleged insensitivity to the plight of Nigerians as a result of the removal of the fuel subsidy and ongoing displays of unwillingness and complete lack of initiative to roll out palliatives.
