Liverpool legend, Mark Lawrenson has predicted Arsenal’s Premier League derby with Tottenham on Sunday.
Lawrenson also gave his predictions for Liverpool’s tie with West Ham United and Chelsea’s match with Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to Paddy Power News, Lawrenson stated Liverpool will beat West Ham, Arsenal will defeat Tottenham and Chelsea will play a draw with Aston Villa.
Lawrenson said, “Liverpool rode their luck a little bit at Wolves last week but I will back them here as I think Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate will both come back in. Liverpool 2-0 West Ham.”
Speaking on the Arsenal vs Tottenham game, he added, “I fancy Arsenal here. They dispatched of PSV easily and could have beaten Everton by a far greater scoreline than the 1-0. Tottenham felt like they’d won the FA Cup with that late, late win over Sheffield United.
“You know this is always going to be tight, but I just think Arsenal will have too much for them.
Commenting on the Chelsea vs Aston Villa tie, Lawrenson said, ”Both have been a bit hit and miss so I will go with the Draw. Chelsea 1-1 Aston Villa.”
