Wilfred Ndidi has commented on his new attacking midfield role at Sky Bet Championship club, Leicester City.
The Nigerian is currently enjoying a new lease of life under Italian manager, Enzo Maresca after a dip in form last season.
Maresca has moved Ndidi from his traditional defensive midfield position to an advance role.
The transformation has yielded positive result with the player now back to his usual self.
Ndidi has so far registered three goals and one assist across all competitions for the Foxes this term.
The 26-year-old stated that he is enjoying the positional switch.
“It’s been good, it’s the other side of my game,” Ndidi told BBC Radio Leicester’s When You’re Smiling Podcast.
“As a child growing up I’ve always been a central defender and then turning into a number six and now enjoying the number eight position.
“It’s just the way I am, having an open mind to play any position I can possibly play on the pitch. Just trying to enjoy football, be myself and enjoy football.”
