Ligue 1: Simon reflects on match-winning strike against Clermont

Nantes winger Moses Simon has reflected on his superb strike against Clermont on Sunday.

The Canaries recorded their first victory of the campaign, edging out their hosts 1-0.

Simon scored the winning goal in the 48th minute, his first goal of the season.

The Nigerian was last on target for Nantes against Ajaccio on January 13.

The 28-year-old shed light on how he was able to beat the Clermont goalkeeper.

β€œI saw that the goalkeeper was moving forward. Already in the first half, I had noticed. We had this chance and we had to make this move,” Simon was quoted by tribunenantaise.fr.

β€œThis first victory was a long time coming. It’s a very important victory for everyone, for the supporters. We must continue to work to continue to progress.”
