Nantes winger Moses Simon has reflected on his superb strike against Clermont on Sunday.
The Canaries recorded their first victory of the campaign, edging out their hosts 1-0.
Simon scored the winning goal in the 48th minute, his first goal of the season.
The Nigerian was last on target for Nantes against Ajaccio on January 13.
The 28-year-old shed light on how he was able to beat the Clermont goalkeeper.
“I saw that the goalkeeper was moving forward. Already in the first half, I had noticed. We had this chance and we had to make this move,” Simon was quoted by tribunenantaise.fr.
“This first victory was a long time coming. It’s a very important victory for everyone, for the supporters. We must continue to work to continue to progress.”
