In the village of Sambak Gida in Kaduna State’s Jaba Local Government Area, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops successfully thwarted an attempt to kidnap Bishop Paul Zamani of the Anglican Diocese.
Captain Oya James, the OPSH Media Information Officer, announced this in a statement on September 14, 2023.
OPSH troops also foiled an attempt to kidnap Bishop Paul Zamani of the Anglican Diocese at Sambak Gida village in Jaba LGA of Kaduna State as part of their commitment to Operation SAFE HAVEN’s goal of securing communities in their Area of Responsibility, according to the statement.
“After receiving a distress call, troops arrived quickly and engaged the kidnappers with gunfire.
The kidnappers were wounded and fled.
Major General AE Abubakar, who is in charge of Operation SAFE HAVEN, has expressed gratitude to the public for providing reliable information that resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the thwarting of the kidnapping attempt.
He gave the public his word that once the investigations were finished, the suspects would be swiftly charged in court.
