The Benue State Government has promised to upgrade the sports facilities in the state.

The state Commissioner for Youths and Sports Rt Hon. Terkimbir Ikyange, disclosed this during an inspection tour of the Aper Aku Stadium.

The stadium is the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League side Lobi Stars.

Ikyange said the upgrade would be a modern standard to be acceptable by the country’s football authority.

He also re-echoed the state government’s commitment to repositioning sports in the state through policies and programmes that would attract the youths to venture into and avoid social vices.
