The appeals court tells their staff to stay at home ahead of tribunal Wednesday ruling.

Before the Wednesday decision by the tribunal, the appeals court requests that their employees should stay at home.

 

On Wednesday, September 6, which has been set aside for the decision in the petitions contesting President Bola Tinubu’s election, staff members of the court of appeal have been requested to remain at home.

 

 

 

 

 

Staff members of the court were given the order to stay at home in order to maintain a calm environment during the tribunal session, according to a memo signed by Oluwaleye David on behalf of the chief registrar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It said;.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“I have been ordered to advise all employees at the corporate office and the Abuja division to stay at home on September 6, 2023.

 

 

 

 

“This is to establish a favorable and tranquil environment for the special court session for the presidential election tribunal petition in Abuja.

 

 

 

 

 

Due to the aforementioned, very powerful security equipment has been set up to guard the court’s entrance as well as all other key locations within the court complex.

 

 

 

 

Additionally, only employees with tags provided by the management will be allowed inside the courthouse. Please take note of the instructions.
