Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has expressed shock over the decision of Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag, to drop Alejandro Garnacho on the bench and start Antony.
He said it was shocking that Antony is still getting picked ahead of Garnacho in the Red Devils lineup.
Arsenal scored two late goals through Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus to earn a 3-1 win over Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday.
The Red Devils would have snatched victory in the 89th minute when Garnacho, who came in the second half, confidently struck the ball past Aaron Ramsdale.
However, he was fractionally offside and VAR chalked the goal off.
Wright felt Garnacho looked like a real livewire for United and a better fit for their counter-attacking setup than Antony.
He told Premier League Productions, “I think Garnacho is a positive [from the defeat].
“I cannot believe [Garnacho]does not start in front of someone like Antony.
“He’s surely going to be better than what Antony is giving you at this particularly moment.
“We saw it in that little cameo there what he did.”
