In the early hours of September 3, a bank robbery attempt involving the suspect and fleeing members of his gang near Maplewood Estate in Oko Oba resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
Men from the state police command stormed the scene to restore order as the suspects were smashing security doors to gain entry.
Robbery avoided, suspect taken into custody.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the state police command, confirmed the incident and stated that the police received the distress call at 4:20am and responded quickly.
