.Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti State, has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against exiling Nyesom Wike, a former governor of Rivers State and current minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
Wike, a PDP leader, worked against his own party in the 2023 presidential election and has since been chosen to serve in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
Due to what many have deemed to be anti-party activities, there have been discussions that he could be suspended or expelled from the party.
In a recent interview with Channels TV, Wike dared the gathering to kick him out.
Fayose has now entered the discussion in a new interview. He stated that the PDP would do so at their own risk if they decided to kick Wike out.
“Some say to take Wike on, kick him out, fire him.
They probably act that way at their own risk. You see, the first rule of your family, even in the face of extreme circumstances or differences, is to avoid displacing your wife or husband.
You cannot ignore Wike because he is a force within the PDP and outside of it.
At your own risk, ignore, sack, or engage in combat with Wike. He said, “He is a man of capacity.
