The palace of Aseyin of Iseyin in Oyo State is under heavy security as the kingmakers elect a new monarch today.
The stool became vacant due to the transition of the immediate past monarch, Oba Salawudeen Abdulganiy Adekunle.
The monarch joined his ancestors on 24 July 2022.
Since the demise of the traditional ruler, the town has yet to have a new king.
Our correspondent learnt that security personnel are currently at the palace to avoid a breakdown of law and order
