Manchester United legend, Dwight Yorke, has lamented Jesse Lingard’s clubless situation.
The 30-year-old, who is a free agent, is still without a club after his one-year deal with Nottingham Forest ended at the end of last season.
The England international joined Nottingham Forest in the 2022-23 season over a return to West Ham.
The midfielder returned to training at West Ham, with the suggestion he could re-sign for the Hammers, but he has missed an entire pre-season campaign.
But Yorke told OLBG, “With Jesse Lingard, I don’t know what his mindset is at the moment. I find it strange that he’s still a free agent.
“You can’t have the season start and still not have a deal with a club sorted. The fact he doesn’t have a deal with any club yet is beyond me.”
