Nnamdi Kanu promises to "deal with" the South-east's sit-at-home enforcers

The sit-at-home movement, according to Mr. Kanu, was “hijacked by our oppressors as a means of rendering our land desolate

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu has vowed to take action against those responsible for upholding the South-east’s suspended sit-at-home order.

Mr. Kanu added that he would deal with anyone organizing fundraising events under his name or the names of his pro-Biafran organizations, IPOB and Eastern Security Network (ESN), without permission.

On Monday, Mr. Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, made this announcement via his verified Twitter account.

When he visited the IPOB leader at an SSS facility, Mr. Ejimakor claimed Mr. Kanu gave him the order to post his (Kanu’s) “exact words” on the microblogging website.

“I will deal with such a person, regardless of his place of residence, if he or they use my name, IPOB’s name, or the name of ESN in fundraising without my direct and express authorization,” Mr. Kanu said.

The pro-Biafran agitator Simon Ekpa is thought to have been the IPOB leader’s target despite the fact that he omitted names. Ekpa has continued to organize fundraising events, primarily on Twitter, to aid IPOB’s Biafra agitation in the South-east and South-south regions.

Mr. Ekpa, a lawyer with a residence in Finland, is a native of Ebonyi State in southeast Nigeria.

Both men had each other’s backs, and Mr. Ekpa continues to identify as Mr. Kanu’s pupil.

Home-based order.

According to earlier reports from Igberetv, Mr. Kanu ordered Mr. Ekpa to stop giving sit-at-home orders in the area in late July through the medium of a handwritten letter sent through Mr. Ejimakor, his special counsel.

However, Mr. Ekpa, who has continued to issue sit-at-home orders in the area, called the letter “fake” and insisted that the civil case would continue until Mr. Kanu spoke to him directly in Finland, a country in North Europe, where he (Ekpa) resides.

Mr. Kanu claimed in the letter that the concept of the sit-at-home protest had been “hijacked by our oppressors as a means of rendering our land desolate and forcing our people to migrate out of our lands. “.

The IPOB leader claimed that the people in charge of enforcing the sit-at-home order had “gerrymandered Igboland to now exclude the Igbos in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Kogi, Rivers, Edo, Delta and Benue.” Cross River, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers, Edo, and Delta are South-Southern states, while Kogi and Benue are North-Central states.

Mr. Kanu emphasized that those enforcing the sit-at-home order were also obstructing his release from the SSS detention.

“I will never forgive any individual or group of individuals who continue to demand and enforce sit-at-home days. I assume that this person is just using my name to subtly work against my release, said the IPOB leader.
