A former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has advised people non to talk too much about the shirtless celebration of Super Falcons’ Asisat Oshoala at the ongoing Women’s World Cup tournament following their victory against Australia.
Sani urged people to just appreciate her great performance and that of other Falcons.
He wrote, “Don’t talk too much about Asisat shirtless stunt. I only looked at it once. Just appreciate her great performance and that of other Falcons.”
Recall that the Barcelona forward came on as a second-half substitute before slotting past the goalkeeper from a tight angle to hand the Super Falcons a 3-1 lead.
Asisat pulled off her jersey and ran to the sideline to celebrate her goal with her teammates, getting a yellow card in the process.
Her shirtless celebration has since stirred fans on social media, with some questioning her faith and morality
