The Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal Dare has condemned the recent banditry attack on the two villages- Sarkidar and Janbako communities in Maradun Local Government Area and some other parts of the State.
The Governor disclosed this in a statement by his Director General (DG) Media and Communications, Malam Nuhu Salihu Anka.
The statement explained that the Governor, who was represented by his deputy Malam Mani Mummini, described the attack as barbaric and unprovoked aggression against innocent people.
He condoled families of those that lost their loved ones and announced the donation of one million naira as immediate relief to provide more support to the victims, as well as medication for the wounded ones.
Dare also directed the heads of security agencies in the State to as a matter of urgency deploy more security personnel to the affected communities to forestall further destruction of lives and properties in the areas.
He reiterated his commitment towards ensuring peace and tranquility in the state, pointing out that he will leave no stone unturned in curbing the security challenges in all nooks and crannies of the state
