Children’s Day: What we will do for less privileged kids – Plateau Governor-elect, Mutfwang

Barely 48 hours to his inauguration, the Plateau State Governor-elect, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has expressed his administration’s resolve to build a State with equal opportunities, where the less privileged children can divinely realise their “dreams and purpose” in life.

He also described children as a “special gift from God”, adding that they deserve adequate “parental and societal” support to enable them get to the pinnacle of their chosen careers.

Mutfwang stated this through his Special Assistant on Media, Gyang Bere in commemoration of the 2023 Children’s Day.

He said, “While congratulating children on their special day, we pledge to create a conducive environment for children to pursue their dreams and aspirations to enable them contribute to the development of the State and the country as a whole.

“Children are a special gift from God, who deserve distinctive parental and societal support to enable them climb to the top of their chosen careers.

“Parents are expected to genuinely provide care, encouragement, support and ensure that they train their children to grow in the way of the Lord so that they can impact the society meaningfully.”

Mutfwang maintained that his policy thrust which is premised on “The Time Is Now”, seeks to reinvigorate the educational sector and ensure optimal performance of children for the realisation of a progressive Plateau.

“There will be renewed hope, commitment and deliberate steps for children to grow in our dear state”, he assured
