Nigeria forward, Paul Onuachu has downplayed reports he has a relegation clause inserted in his contract with Premier League club, Southampton.
Onuachu linked up with the Saints from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk in January for around £18m.
The lanky striker turned down offers from German club, Eintracht Frankfurt to fulfill his dream of playing in the English Premier League.
The Saints currently occupy last position on the table and face a difficult task of maintaining their top-flight status at the end of the season.
Onuachu refused to comment on whether he will leave the South Coast in case they were relegated to the Sky Bet Championship.
“There are some games we’ve been unlucky even if we play well. Right now it’s just to focus on the Premier League and try to stay up,” he told Elegbete TV.
“When the time comes, I think we’ll talk about that (the clause) but right now we just focus on the Premier League.”
