EPL: Man Utd in ‘real fight’ for top-four finish after Newcastle win – Carragher

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has said Newcastle’s last-gasp win over Nottingham Forest on Friday has pulled Manchester United into a “real fight” for top four places.

Alexander Isak scored twice as the Magpies battled to a 2-1 win at Forest.

The result sees them move to within three points of third-placed United.

After the international week, Newcastle play United at St James’ Park.

“I think for a long time we’ve felt that United were guaranteed to be in the top four – Gary Neville went as far to say they would finish second.

“But now it looks like they’re in a real fight now to be in the top four, especially with Newcastle playing Manchester United next,” Carragher told Sky Sports
