Senator Oseni continues to invest in teachers, trains another set on ICT

Another set of teachers across the five local government areas of Kogi Central Senatorial District yesterday concluded training on Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The two-day training which took place at the 600 capacity GYB JAMB CBT Centre located at Agassa was facilitated by the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Yakubu Oseni through the Federal Ministry of Education, and was meant to build the capacity of beneficiaries on ICT and Digital Economy.

The senator who revealed he has tremendous respect for teachers in the society said they are purveyors of knowledge whose sacrifice in nation building remains unquantifiable.

While charging the beneficiaries to build on the skill acquired during the training, the lawmaker noted that his joy will know no bounds if such skill is replicated in teaching school children in their respective local government areas.

The lawmaker in a message to the beneficiaries noted that, “The world has gone digital and almost all aspects of life is positively affected in the revolution. Our school children should be equipped with necessary computer and digital skills so as to be able to compete favourably with their counterparts across the globe. We therefore cannot achieve this feat in isolation of teachers whose duties are to impact knowledge in them.”

Consequently, Senator Oseni gave beneficiaries of this phase of capacity building “iPad and a token of N20,000.00 each” to offset their transport expenses
