Super Eagles vice-captain, William Troost-Ekong has rated his compatriot, Victor Osimhen the best forward in the game at the moment.
Osimhen is having a memorable campaign with Serie A club, Napoli.
The striker has scored 19 goals in 22 league appearances for the Partenopei, who are on course to win the Scudetto for the first time in three decades.
The 24-year-old has also picked up some individual awards this season.
Osimhen was named the Best Foreign Athlete in Italy last week and also scooped the Serie A Best Player award for January and February.
Troost-Ekong reckoned his international teammate leads the pack among the strikers in the world now.
“Osimhen is probably the best striker in the world right now. I am happy for him because he has overcome difficult moments,” he was quoted as saying by Sports Italia.
“It’s a very important year for him, he can win the Scudetto, and then he’ll be able to think about the future.”
