EPL: He does everything – Rio Ferdinand tells two Man Utd players to learn from Arsenal star

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has told the club’s wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho to learn from Arsenal star Leandro Trossard.

He said learning from the Arsenal star would help the duo bring more ‘risk’ to their attacking play.

Antony and Sancho are going through mixed seasons at Manchester United and Ferdinand believes they are capable of more.

Antony has netted seven times in 29 appearances for Manchester United since his £82m move from Ajax last summer.

Sancho, on the other hand, has scored five goals in 23 matches.

Speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel, Ferdinand said, “There’s one part of Antony and Jadon Sancho’s game that I think needs to improve, and that’s taking more risks.”

The former Premier League top defender said that both players should learn from Trossard, who joined Arsenal in the January transfer window and from all indications, did not need to adapt in his new club.

The Belgium international provided a hat-trick of assists for the Gunners as they beat Fulham 3-0 over the weekend.

“Trossard, for me, has been a masterstroke signing. He gives Arsenal that depth in wide areas and up front,” Ferdinand added.

“When you talk about wide players not taking risks, this guy[Trossard] takes risks. He gets the ball, he goes forward, he plays one-twos, he dribbles, he takes people on and he can see a pass.

“He is doing everything and more that Arteta would have wanted from him as a new signing.”

Arsenal reclaimed their 5-point lead over Manchester City with the resounding victory over their London rivals Fulham at the weekend after Pep Guardiola’s side closed the gap to just two points earlier with a narrow win over Crystal Palace
