Wike came against me in Rivers, I won more than 50% – Peter Obi

Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, has revealed that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State came against him during the February 25 presidential election.

Obi also criticized those who claim the votes he got in Lagos were mainly from the Igbos.

The former Anambra State Governor gave the statement on Monday when he featured on the Arise Television’s Morning Show program.

He said people of different ethnic extractions across the country voted for him during the February 25 presidential election.

“Some people said he got votes in Lagos because of Igbos. How many Igbos live in Lagos? I got more votes from indigenous people in Lagos than those you can call visitors. Is it Igbos who voted for me in Nasarawa, Plateau and Abuja? In Rivers where you know that the governor came out against me in everything if the real votes in Rivers were counted, I won more than 50% in the State,” Obi said
