Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have bagged the Fair Play award at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The Flying Eagles finished in third position at the competition after thrashing Tunisia 4-0 in the third-place match on Friday.
Ladan Bosso’s boys were the most disciplined team in the competition.
Skipper Daniel Bamaiyi received the award on behalf of the team at the closing ceremony on Saturday night.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) recognized the Flying Eagles for adhering to the rules of the game.
The West Africans also showed unwavering respect for their rivals, officials and spectators.
The Flying Eagles will now shift their attention to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia in May
